Christmas Tree Shopping

We took a quick family trip up into the Little Belt Mountains to hike off the Thanksgiving lbs and find our Christmas Tree.  Grandpa Mike drove us up in his truck and we found "warm" weather and not too much snow.  Here are a few photos from the weekend.

More Howween!

After trick or treating at the businesses downtown with mom from 3:30 to 5. We had supper as a family and then headed home to hand out candy and hit up our neighborhood.  Cat and Everett held down the house while Caden and I went out.

Caden knocked on doors and gave a pretty confident "trick or treat" at a few houses then he really got into the swing of things.  I had a hard time getting him to say thank you because as soon as he had a handful of candy he quickly turned and said "more howween". So he would jump on my shoulders where he would start pointing to the next house "lights on that house daddy" "over there daddy". We hit about 20 houses and collected lots of goodies. I asked if he was cold (it was around 35) and the answer was always yes. I asked if he wanted to go home and the answer was always no. After getting home and having a bag of chips from one house Caden climbed up on Cats lap and watched a little TV.   A few minutes later he looked over to me and said "thank you daddy".  I asked for what and he said "Howween"   -  What a great night!

Kayaking on the Missouri

Daniel is in town, so we spent the day on the Missouri.  Catherine spent the day with a little boy who has two molars coming in and a double ear infection.  Thanks for taking a bunch for the team love.

Who knew pelicans lived in Montana?

As the day became "hot" by Montana standards we floated with our boats for quite a few miles.

One of the many rock faces along the river.  Daniel is just visible in this photo.

Only white water of the day. It did splash us a bit.

We took a break this Sunday afternoon and explored a park just south of Great Falls.
There were plenty of rocks for both Pumpkin and Caden.
