Bassi Falls ii and Puppy Fever

Bassi Falls is quickly becoming a favorite spot not too far from the flat, boring Sacramento Valley. This trip included our friends, Kara and Patrick, along with their dogs Nutmeg and Barley.

Cat's Note: Other than hiking and playing in the water, Court and I have been busy working and training for a half marathon. We ran 10 miles Sunday morning with Steve (see Hetch-Hetchy post), then attended the Western Festival in Elk Grove. It was decidedly non-Western, but fun nonetheless. Pumpkin accompanied us, of course, and was very well-behaved - no barking, no doing business where she shouldn't! I was helping to promote WOOF and their upcoming Wagapalooza - a 5K run/walk with your dogs and American Idog Competition. Pumpkin and Court walked around and found a chiropractor who told us how lopsided we are - as if we didn't already know.

In other news, puppy fever has caught the entire Conway clan now. It started with Bailey the spoiled Beagle and Crystal, then Court and I rescued Pumpkin: the crazy mutt, and now Mom has a new addition, Daisy the Beagle. Apparently her name is Daisy because she answers to that and it matched our parents' previous pup names: Duffy and Dixie. I don't have any pictures of Daisy to post, but she is coming to visit in less than two weeks so I am sure I will have some good photos of Daisy and Pumpkin then.

Here is Bailey in her Winter outfit when it snowed at Crystal's house.
