A few weekends ago we went for a little hike just north of the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir in Yosemite National Park. Catherine's friends from work, Jose and Steve, joined us on the approximately 25 mile hike. Our hike began at around 4000' and by Saturday afternoon we were at Lake Vernon which sits above 6500'. The highest point we reached before losing the trail in the snow was about 7400'. Saturday evening the rain got us pretty good and by Sunday morning there was close to 4" of snow covering our camp. The pictures below show some of the sights of the trip on Saturday before my camera got soaked. We didn't actually see any bears, just some fresh bear tracks. Jose should have some great pictures from Sunday.
